Frank Hoggard

About the artist

Frank Hoggard was born in North Nottinghamshire, England. At the age of 13 years he was accepted into the Art School of Nottingham College of Arts and Crafts where he studied full-time for over three years. Upon graduation, Frank went to work in the art department of a nationwide retail company.

At the age of 16, he entered a national painting competition where 50,000 entries were received for all categories. He won the 5th place in his age group and was invited to view winning paintings at Olympia Exhibition Hall in London. He won several local competitions, and by the age of 18 had a one-man exhibition in North Nottingham, England.

Frank has sold many original paintings as well as commissions over the years. Frank founded a design and decorating company, which he owned an operated until moving to Canada in 1993.
